Safe Place Training

Safe Place is a child abuse prevention policy embraced by the Christian and Missionary Alliance.  Athens Community Church has amended and implemented the Safe Place Policy.  Everyone who is working with children and teen-age student ministries at Athens Community Church must abide by the Safe Place policy.

It is the intention of the elders, Board of Ministries (BOM), pastoral staff, and volunteers of the Athens Community Church to create a safe environment for all people to learn about the God of the Bible, meet the Lord Jesus Christ, grow in His grace, Worship Him in spirit and in truth, and fellowship with others in a place that is free from abuse of any kind.  We wish to create an environment that is safe for all children, teens, adults, families, staff, and volunteer workers.  In light of this intention, we have adapted and implemented the Safe Place Policy at the Athens Community Church.

Below you will find links to the Safe Place Policy, the Volunteer Personnel Form (ministry application), and a recording of the Safe Place training that was held at Athens Community Church on June 1, 2013.

If you are listening to the training event, please download the Safe Place Policy pdf and open it as you listen to the training event.  The training will cover each of the bullet points of the policy one at a time.

To apply to for a volunteer ministry position at ACC, you must answer a short, 25 multiple choice question quiz on the training and then fill out the Volunteer Personnel Form.

Contact the office if you have any questions about the volunteering process at Athens Community Church.
